Indie-Mode

Indie fashion has no uniform, no fixed palette and no required silhouette. It favours pieces that look chosen rather than bought, and outfits assembled from things that should not obviously go together but do. The defining move is one element that looks like it came from somewhere else.

It is a deliberately small, edited range: graphic tees, jeans, wide leg pants, midi skirts and backpacks. Each piece is chosen to mix with clothing you already own rather than to be worn as a set.

Because indie style does not work as a shopping spree. Buying twenty pieces at once produces an outfit that looks assembled from a catalogue, which is the opposite of the intent. Adding one distinctive piece at a time and letting it settle among what you already wear gives a far better result.

Wide leg pants and a good graphic tee. The volume through the leg balances a fitted or cropped top, works with flats and heavy boots alike, and the tee carries the reference. That pairing gets you further than almost anything else in the range.

It is the most seasonally flexible item here. Bare legs and sandals in summer, thick tights and ankle boots in winter, and the same skirt covers most of the year. Dress it up with a tucked blouse and boots, or down with an oversized tee and sneakers.

Clothing is listed from XXS to 5XL and footwear from US 4 to 17, in women's and unisex cuts. Much of indie dressing is genuinely unisex, oversized tees in particular, so it is worth checking both filters. Measurements are listed on each product page.
